Review:

My boyfriend and I decided to go on a date night outing while in Louisville, Colorado. First off, it was an absolute blast!

We had cocktails, appetizers, and a charcuterie board for two. Unfortunately, I only have photos of the drinks because we were so hungry, we completely devoured the food.

The cocktails we ordered were delightful though! I enjoy sweeter or more dessert type drinks. My boyfriend loves whiskey, old fashions, gin and tonics etc. We ordered a few different beverages to share and try. I definitely enjoyed everything we ordered. However, if you are a fan of sweeter drinks their cocktail list might not be the best option.

The bar looked well stocked so you could possibly order something more your style or out of the box if you desired. The waiter we had was pretty kind. He was willing to offer different recommendations and talk through the food with us. For instance, he recommended us getting the medium charcuterie board.

This was the right decision! The portions for the charcuterie board were decent. It came with so many different treats and combinations to try. For instance, it had a mustard, fresh chopped sauerkraut, and jam. The board also came with a few different types of crackers, and our favorite: baguette slices! The cheeses that accompanied the plate were delicious and not overly unique. There was a swiss, brie, cheddar, and I think a gouda. The blue cheese was particularly light that night. I cannot say the same for the gouda, though.

Both of us ended up finishing up the plate with only a few things left. We also ordered an appetizer of their coconut lime shrimp and calamari. Both were little clouds of crispiness. The shrimp was flavorful, especially with the jalapeno coleslaw. Neither of us found it particularly spicy.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was incredibly vibrant. We went later in the evening one night. It was fairly busy, but we got seated almost immediately upon arrival. It did take a bit of time to receive our drinks and food. However, we were okay with that. We are in a long-distance relationship, so the time was well spent on thoughtful conversation.

The weather was also nice and balmy, so we were able to sit outside. The restaurant had nice lighting and provided the background to quiet moments, laughter, and a delightful, shared meal. Here is a link to the menu if you would like to take a glance. The website also provides the ability to book reservations online. If you find yourself in Louisville, CO one evening with a desire for a unique atmosphere, fun tapas, and wide drink selection, you should try to visit /pôr/.
